Where a luxury African safari takes you
Africa is not one safari. The right country, and the right month, depends on what you most want to see. These are the regions we plan most often, and how they differ.
East Africa: Tanzania and Kenya
The Serengeti and the Maasai Mara are the stage for the Great Migration, with river crossings in the northern Serengeti and the Mara roughly July to October and the calving season in the southern Serengeti from January to March. Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Kenya’s private conservancies add big cats, elephants and walking safaris, and Zanzibar is a short flight away for the coast. Tanzania · Kenya
Southern Africa: Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe
Botswana’s Okavango Delta is explored by mokoro and light aircraft, with Chobe’s elephant herds nearby. South Africa pairs the Sabi Sand and Kruger with Cape Town and the Winelands, and Zambia and Zimbabwe share Victoria Falls and some of the continent’s finest walking safaris. Gorillas and forests: Rwanda and Uganda
Mountain gorilla trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park or Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a permit-limited experience we arrange well in advance, and it combines naturally with the Maasai Mara or the Serengeti in a single journey.
The coast: Zanzibar, the Seychelles, Mauritius and Mozambique
Most safaris end by the Indian Ocean. Zanzibar follows Tanzania naturally, the Seychelles connect through Nairobi, and Mauritius and Mozambique suit Southern African routes. We place the beach days after the early mornings of the bush, not before.

How your safari comes together
Your first consultation is complimentary. A $500 planning fee covers your tailor-made proposal and revisions. When you book, the full $500 is credited toward your booking deposit.

We prepare your itinerary and refine it with you, clearly setting out accommodation, transport, activities, inclusions and exclusions.
Confirm and travel
When you book, the full $500 is credited toward your booking deposit. We then coordinate the services included in your confirmed booking, flights, transfers, camps and guides, and stay in touch while you travel.

Why travel with NndeeAfrika
Many companies can book an African safari. What we offer is a small, family-run team with roots in Tanzania, a US company you can hold to account, and the time to plan one journey properly.
Tanzanian roots, first-hand knowledge
Evance is Chagga and grew up on Mount Kilimanjaro. He spent years with leading travel companies before co-founding NndeeAfrika, and he has stayed at many of the camps we recommend, met the guides and driven the roads. Where our advice relies on trusted partners rather than a personal visit, we say so.
A US company, with written terms
NndeeAfrika LLC is registered in California as a Seller of Travel (CST 2173450-50) and is a member of ATTA®. You contract with a US company, and deposits, balances and cancellation terms are set out in writing before you pay anything.
Truly private, never a group
Every itinerary is built from scratch around you: your pace, your interests, the camps you like. No group departures and no off-the-shelf packages. Your proposal states plainly which arrangements are private and which are shared.
Everything handled, line by line
Flights, transfers, permits and timing are coordinated for you, and every proposal lists accommodation, flights, transfers, fees and private services line by line, with exclusions stated just as clearly.

A direct line to us throughout your journey, with local partners on the ground at every stop, from the first email to your flight home.
A journey that gives back
We lean toward camps and conservancies that protect wildlife and employ local people, and a share of what we do supports Two Hands One Heart TZ, Jennifer’s non-profit near Arusha, which brings filtered water into homes and supports a primary school of more than 700 children.

His hotel background and personal visits to camps and lodges inform his recommendations, helping him match each guest with the right places and experiences. He remains available throughout their journey, offering personal support and attention to detail.
