Luxury African safari at sunset — the NndeeAfrika story
Our Story

Nndeeafrika.
Let's go to Africa.

Our name is a Chagga phrase from Kilimanjaro. It means “let's go to Africa” — and for our family, that's pretty much how it all started.

Where it began

It didn't start as a company. It started with two people who love Africa — and who found each other there. Everything we plan still comes from that.

The two of them met in Arusha — Evance guiding travelers across Tanzania, Jennifer half a world from home on community work. They fell for each other, married, and had twin girls.

Over the years they built a life between Tanzania and California, keeping one foot firmly in each place. What they kept coming back to was a simple wish: to share the Africa they knew — the right camps, the right guides, the quiet moments in between — with people who'd never seen it.

That's what we do now. We plan private, all-inclusive safaris across Eastern and Southern Africa, mostly for travelers from the US, and pair them with time on the coast. No set packages — every trip is built around the people taking it.

Our founders

The family behind Nndeeafrika

Evance, co-founder of NndeeAfrika

Evance

Co-founder · Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Evance is Chagga and grew up on Mount Kilimanjaro, so Africa's landscapes were his backyard. He spent years working for leading travel companies, where he learned the ins and outs of luxury safaris and coastal beach holidays. He's especially good at customizing trips to each traveler and handling the logistics behind them — the flights, transfers and timing that make everything run smoothly. He knows the camps, the guides and how a trip should flow, and he's the one who perfects the details on every itinerary.

Jennifer, co-founder of NndeeAfrika

Jennifer

Co-founder · Fresno, California

Jennifer is from Fresno, California, and has traveled to more than forty-six countries — she loves exploring new places and learning from the locals about their cultures. Volunteer work with communities in Arusha first brought her to Tanzania, and to Evance. Today she leads marketing for NndeeAfrika and runs our community non-profit, Two Hands One Heart TZ, near Arusha — and she brings a seasoned traveler's eye to every journey we design.

Our name, on the road

The people behind every journey

When we say NndeeAfrika is a family business, we mean it literally. That's Evance, Jennifer and their girls out in the Serengeti — the same people who plan your trip, in the places we send you.

We know this ground because we live it. And we look after your journey the way we'd look after our own.

What we believe

How we like to work

i

Truly private

Every trip is built from scratch around you — your pace, what you want to see, the camps you like. No group departures, no off-the-shelf packages.

ii

We know it first-hand

We only plan what we’ve seen ourselves. We’ve stayed at the camps, met the guides and driven the roads, so the advice you get is honest and specific.

iii

We handle everything

From the first email to your flight home, we take care of the flights, transfers and details — so you can just enjoy the trip.

iv

It gives back

We lean toward camps and conservancies that protect wildlife and support local communities, so your trip does some good along the way.

Travel that gives back

Conservation matters to us

The wild places that make a safari worth taking only survive if travel helps pay for them. We work with camps and conservancies that protect habitat, fund anti-poaching and employ local people — so your trip leaves the land better off, not worse.

Where you choose to stay makes a real difference. We'll help you choose well.

Every journey gives back

When you travel with us, you give back

Giving back isn't an add-on for us — it's part of why we started. When you book a safari with NndeeAfrika, you're also helping support community projects in Tanzania, so your trip does some good long after you're home.

Two Hands One Heart TZ

Two Hands One Heart TZ is a non-profit run by Jennifer that works with the Meserani Chini community near Arusha. It gets clean, filtered water into people's homes and supports Meserani Chini Government Primary School — more than 700 kids — with education, a food program and child sponsorship.

Because our family has roots in both Tanzania and California, this community matters a lot to us, and a share of what we do goes straight back into it.
