The Botswana safari itinerary, day by day

A 9-day Botswana safari itinerary, by water — poling the Okavango’s crystal channels by mokoro, drifting past Chobe’s elephant herds, and ending in the spray of Victoria Falls. See our luxury Botswana safaris overview for how this route can flex.

Nothing here is fixed — this is the shape we design most often. Tell us what to keep, stretch or swap, and your version arrives priced and complete.

Good to know

Questions about this journey

Counterintuitively, in the dry season — the flood arrives from Angola and typically peaks May–September, when mokoro and boat safaris are at their fullest.

Yes — three nights in the Delta, two on the Chobe and two at the falls is the classic shape. Adding a second Delta camp (water + land) makes it eleven and better still.

Zimbabwe sees the widest curtain of water most of the year; Zambia gets you closest in high water and has Devil’s Pool in low. We choose by your travel month.
