A family safari is one of the best trips you can share — wildlife that captivates every age, and the time and space to be together away from screens.
We use private vehicles, family-friendly and exclusive-use camps, and tailor each day to the ages and energy of your group, so everyone travels at their own pace.

Where you stay shapes your whole safari. These are properties we know personally and return to again and again — chosen for their location, their guiding and the way they make you feel. Tell us which appeal and we’ll build your journey around them.
Four Seasons Safari Lodge
Built around a waterhole where elephants gather, with a pool, spa and a dedicated children’s program — ideal for first-time and younger travelers.

Know before you go
The practical details we handle for you — flights, entry, health and money — summarized here so nothing surprises you. Requirements can change, so we confirm everything when you book.
Getting there from the USA
Overnight flights work well with kids — nonstops to Johannesburg or one-stop routes to Nairobi and Kilimanjaro. We build in a rest night on arrival before the bush.
Visas & entry
Children need their own passports and visas (same rules as adults). South Africa requires a certified birth certificate for minors — we brief you on exactly what to carry.
Health
Malaria-free reserves in South Africa suit families with young children; elsewhere, pediatric prophylaxis is available. Camps we choose have flexible mealtimes and family tents.
Money & tipping
All-inclusive means no daily spending decisions. Tipping is at your discretion — around $20–25 per adult per day for your guide is a common guideline.
Best time to visit
Dry season — easy wildlife viewing aligned with school holidays.
Warm, festive and great for green-season family travel.
Planning & cost
Private family safaris from $7,500 per person; villas priced per group.
Every journey is private, all-inclusive and tailor-made — your own guide and vehicle, the finest lodges, and a specialist on call throughout.
