Hoanib sits in a hidden valley where two dry riverbeds meet, in the Kaokoland wilderness bordering the Skeleton Coast park — country so remote that arrival is by light aircraft over a hundred kilometers of empty desert. The dry Hoanib riverbed is the region’s lifeline, walked daily by Namibia’s famous desert-adapted elephants.

The camp’s research ties (the desert-lion project among them) give game drives a working edge, and its signature day trip flies you to the Skeleton Coast itself — seal colonies, shipwrecks and the fog-bound Atlantic.

A note from the founders

The Skeleton Coast’s remotest camp — desert lions, shipwreck-coast flights and true expedition Namibia.

Why book Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp through NndeeAfrika

You never pay more than booking direct — usually less. And everything around your stay is handled.

01

A better rate, more journey

As a trade partner we access preferred rates and seasonal offers the camp doesn’t always publish — you’ll never pay more than booking direct. And a camp can only sell you its own rooms; we build the journey around it: international flights, the right nights, and where you go next.

02

Door-to-door, no gaps

A private car waiting at the airport, flights timed to your route, and a meet-and-greet at every step. Book direct and the gaps become your problem; book with us and there are none.

03

We know this camp personally

We know how Hoanib’s flying logistics fit a Namibia circuit, when the riverbed wildlife concentrates, and how to guarantee the Skeleton Coast excursion your dates deserve.

04

One call if anything changes

A missed flight, a weather delay, a change of heart mid-trip — you contact one person, and we re-arrange everything behind the scenes. The camp looks after you on property; we look after the whole journey.

On stays of three nights or more the flying excursion to the coast is typically included — one of safari’s great day trips. Shorter stays can miss it, which is why we book Hoanib at three nights as standard.

They are genuinely rare and wide-ranging — no camp can promise them. Hoanib’s link to the desert-lion research project gives it the best information in the region, and the desert elephants on the riverbed are near-daily regardless.
