Beach Holidays

Barefoot-luxury island escapes to follow your safari.

Overview

There is no better way to end a safari than on a perfect Indian Ocean beach. After the early mornings and game drives, trade the bush for warm turquoise water, white sand and total relaxation.

We pair every safari with the ideal beach — from Zanzibar’s easy reach to the romance of the Seychelles, the polish of Mauritius and the seclusion of Mozambique.

For US travelers

Know before you go

The practical details we handle for you — flights, entry, health and money — summarized here so nothing surprises you. Requirements can change, so we confirm everything when you book.

01

Getting there from the USA

Zanzibar is a short hop from the Tanzania safari circuit; the Seychelles and Mauritius connect via Nairobi, Johannesburg or the Gulf. We time flights so the beach follows the bush without a wasted day in between.

02

Visas & entry

Zanzibar uses Tanzania's e-visa ($100 multiple-entry for US citizens). The Seychelles and Mauritius are visa-free for US citizens; Mozambique offers visa-free entry for short tourist stays.

03

Health

The Seychelles and Mauritius are malaria-free. Zanzibar and coastal Mozambique are low-risk but prophylaxis is often continued from the safari leg — your doctor will advise.

04

Money & tipping

Resorts run on cards; carry small US bills for boat crews and spa staff. Tipping is at your discretion — around 10% where service isn't included.
