Mnemba is a tiny private island off Zanzibar’s northeast tip, ringed by a marine conservation area whose house reef you can snorkel straight off the beach. With just twelve palm-thatched bandas hidden in the tropical forest, it hosts a couple of dozen guests at most — barefoot, phone-down, completely private.
This is where we send honeymooners and milestone travelers after the Serengeti: turtles nest on the beach in season, dolphins pass most mornings, and the diving and snorkeling are the best in Zanzibar. It books out many months ahead — the single most important reason to plan early.
Twelve barefoot bandas on a private island — the honeymoon finale we book a year ahead. Nothing else in Zanzibar touches it.
— Evance & JenniferYou never pay more than booking direct — usually less. And everything around your stay is handled.
As a trade partner we access preferred rates and seasonal offers the resort doesn’t always publish — you’ll never pay more than booking direct. And a resort can only sell you its own rooms; we build the journey around it: international flights, the safari before, and every transfer in between.
A private car waiting at the airport, flights timed from the Serengeti or Kilimanjaro, and a meet-and-greet at every step. Book direct and the gaps become your problem; book with us and there are none.
We know Mnemba’s seasons — when the turtles nest, when the sea is calmest for diving, and how far ahead each travel month really books out — so your island days land as well as your safari ones.
A missed flight, a weather delay, a change of heart mid-trip — you contact one person, and we re-arrange everything behind the scenes. The resort looks after you on property; we look after the whole journey.

The Mnemba Atoll conservation area starts at the sand — snorkel from the beach, dive world-class sites minutes away.
Green turtles nest on the island in season and dolphins pass most mornings; the sea life is the show here.
Sand floors, open bandas, private beach salas — luxury measured in privacy and simplicity, not marble.
A 90-minute flight plus a boat ride from the Serengeti’s airstrips — wilderness to water in an afternoon.
The most romantic address in the Indian Ocean this side of the Seychelles — and the most private.
A protected atoll at your doorstep, with a dedicated dive team on the island.
Big anniversaries and once-in-a-lifetime trips — twelve bandas mean it can even be taken exclusively.
No crowds, no schedule, no shoes. The point of Mnemba is what isn’t there.
June–October and December–February are the driest, sunniest windows; the long rains fall roughly April–May. Turtle nesting peaks roughly February–July.
3–4 nights — fewer feels rushed after the crossing, more is pure holiday.
The classic finish: safari first, then a 90-minute flight from the Serengeti or Arusha to the island.
