Wolwedans Dune Camp, which is situated atop a 250-meter-tall dune, provides magnificent views of the Namibland Reserve. The library, dining area, and tea room are situated on interlocked terraces, affording spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscape and mountains.
The tents and wooden structures are designed for the desert, with sides made of canvas that can be opened or folded up to keep visitors toasty in the winter. Dune Camp offers a rustic yet refined experience, with intimate common areas and a fire pit for socializing. The camp accommodates up to 16 visitors in 8 accommodations, including 6 tents and a tent family retreat with two beds. The tents are constructed on timber platforms and are capacious and comfortable, with twin or King-size beds and internal and outdoor toilets.
Private balconies offer ample space for reclining, and each room is equipped with a ‘Wolwedans Chiller’, small water-filled silos that are ideal for chilling off during the warm summer months. The family suite is excellent for families with two en-suite rooms, a children’s sala room, and outdoor toilets. It is located just beyond the dunes.
