Nestled on the picturesque border of Rwanda’s renowned Nyungwe National Park, the One&Only Nyungwe House offers a unique experience in Africa. The surrounding landscape is a picturesque tea plantation and an ancient rainforest, home to some of Africa’s most fascinating wildlife.

Cultural activities include hilltop archery, imigongo painting, and touring the working tea plantation. After tea leaf picking and a traditional African tea ceremony, the adventurous spirit continues as experienced guides lead you to the depths of the jungle, where you’ll encounter rare chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, and chimpanzee trekking. The luxurious One&Only Gorilla’s Nest is the closest resort to the dramatic landscape of Volcanoes National Park, where you’ll enjoy welcome drinks in the Nest Bar with a local guide and gorilla expert.

With only 1,000 wild mountain gorillas left in the world, seeing these gentle creatures in their natural habitat is a truly unique moment. During our visit, we had the opportunity to spend an hour with a fully habituated family of mountain gorillas, enjoying personal and up-close encounters like none of us had ever experienced.

ITINERARY

DAY ONE - ARRIVAL DAY

Arrive at Kigali International Airport with VVIP meet and greet by Akagera Aviation and assist and handover to Representatives from Primate Safaris and a brief on your upcoming safari.

Transfer to Marriott for Check in and Overnight stay at approximately 25 minutes – service provided by primates

Overnight at Kigali Serena -(BB)

DAY TWO

Enjoy Breakfast at your Hotel

Begin the Tour of the City of Kigali and the Genocide Memorial Museum visit. After the visit you will break for lunch at Kigali Serena Hotel. Thereafter proceed to Virunga Lodge to check-in, dinner and overnight.

Overnight at – One & Only Gorilla Nest – Full Board (FB)

DAY THREE- GORILLA TREKKING

Enjoy breakfast at the Lodge

Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for Registration, and briefing on mountain gorilla Trekking.

Trekking the Mountain gorillas may take between 2hrs – 6hrs and once you located, you will only have one hour to view them and take photos

After Trekking you will drive to Ellen DeGeneres for a self-guided tour, join your driver guide after the completion of the tour back to the Lodge for Lunch, dinner and overnight

Overnight at – One & Only Gorilla Nest – Full Board (FB)

DAY FOUR - GORILLA TREKKING

-Enjoy breakfast at the Lodge

Transfer again to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for the 2nd mountain gorilla Trekking.

Trekking the Mountain gorillas may take between 2hrs – 6hrs and once you located, you will only have one hour to view them and take photos

After Trekking you will drive back to the Lodge for Lunch. dinner and overnight

Overnight at – One & Only Gorilla Nest – Full Board (FB)

DAY FIVE (05) - DEPARTURE DAY

Breakfast at the Lodge and then check-out;

Transfer to Kigali International airport for your international departure flight with a VVIP departure assistance from Akagera aviation.

Depart at Kigali Airport (ETA TBA) ex TBA – Booked directly by Guest’s
